Getting Started

MarkSimpl's API gives you Indian trademark data from IP India and Indian company data from the MCA, as JSON over HTTPS. Use it to search trademarks, check a mark's status, follow the weekly Trade Marks Journal and oppositions, and look up companies by name or CIN.

1. Get an API key

Sign up at marksimpl.com and create an API key from your account. Keep it secret: anyone with the key can make calls on your plan.

2. Authenticate

Send the key in the Authorization header of every request:

3. Make your first call

All endpoints live under https://api.binbash.ai/api, with the version in the path (/v1, /v2 or /v3). Get the details of trademark 5931492:

Paging

List endpoints take limit and offset. For the second page of 20 results, send limit=20&offset=20. Search Indian Trademarks returns at most 100 results per call.

Credits and rate limits

Calls use credits from your plan, and repeating the same request within an hour isn't charged again. Each plan also limits how many calls you can make in a short time. When you go over, the API answers 429 with a Retry-After header saying how many seconds to wait.

Errors

Errors come back as JSON with a message and a code:

Status	When
`400`	A parameter is missing or invalid; the body names the field.
`401`	The API key is missing, invalid or expired.
`402`	You've used all your credits for the month (`credits_exhausted`).
`403`	Your plan doesn't include the endpoint (`plan_required`) or has ended (`plan_expired`).
`404`	The trademark, opposition, document or company doesn't exist.
`429`	Too many calls; wait for `Retry-After` seconds (`throttled`).
