Trademark management for IP law firms

How IP attorneys and law firms use TM Manager to track every client's marks, never miss a deadline, watch the journal for each client and send clean reports.

An IP practice runs on deadlines. Each client can have dozens of marks, each with its own examination reports, hearings, oppositions and renewals. Tracking them in spreadsheets and checking the e-register by hand takes hours every week, and one missed date can cost a client their mark.

TM Manager brings all of it into one place and keeps it current with the Indian Trade Marks Registry.

Your whole docket in one place

  • Add marks in bulk: paste application or opposition numbers straight from Excel. TM Manager fetches each mark's status, owner, goods and services, documents and hearings.
  • Organise by client: assign each mark to a client and filter your portfolio, updates and tasks by client.
  • Tag your way: label marks by matter type, partner, team or anything else you use internally.

Deadlines docketed for you

Every document the Registry issues on a mark becomes a task with its due date:

MatterTask
Prosecutionexamination report reply, notice under section 132, formalities check
Hearingsshow cause hearings, opposition hearings, section 57(4) hearings
Oppositionscounter statement, evidence under Rules 45, 46 and 47

Tasks are marked completed when the filing shows up on the Registry. See them as a table or a calendar, with Priority deadlines at the top. Reports listed late on the e-register are flagged, so you choose the reply date with the full picture.

A watch service for every client

Journal Watch checks each new Trade Marks Journal against all your clients' marks and lists close matches by similarity, match type (identical, looks alike, sounds alike, same meaning and more) and class overlap. Citations shows new applications where an examination report cites your clients' marks, so you can advise on oppositions before the journal.

Use these as a ready source of new opposition work for existing clients.

Clearance searches, with client-ready reports

Run a trademark clearance search in TM Search by word, logo, owner or goods. Keep a search file per matter, rate each conflicting mark High, Medium or Low, add notes, and download a clean PDF report for the client or an Excel sheet for your team.

Reporting to clients

  • Export tasks, updates and search results as Excel or PDF.
  • Open any document, such as the examination report or hearing notice, in one click to send to the client.
  • Use the AI Assistant to explain a task or weigh up whether a journal match is worth opposing.
